This is my first and final post. These past months I have coveted your prayers and been encouraged and built up by your kind words. Unfortunately, I don’t exist.
The purpose of our endeavor was to illustrate the abject absurdity of the site SGMsurvivors.com. We hope that “Roy’s Story” will help you to see: You are willing to believe the worst in Sovereign Grace Ministries. What grace you have extended to SGM is not seventy times seven.
This can be clearly seen in the words and actions of the SGMSurvivors.com site owner Kris: who admits she had misgivings about Roy’s story from the outset. And yet this begs the question, if she doubted his story, why did she devote an entire post to establishing his validity? The answer is obvious: She wanted to believe Roy’s story. As did everyone who read it. If Roy’s story were true, “all their worst fears would be confirmed.” There are many stories that are not altogether too dissimilar to “Roy’s” that are posted on that site that are only partially verified. The Internet is the avenue for the coward. The Internet blog that records wrongs and gossips about other Christians are for people who lack the balls and ability to handle conflict in a biblical manner. It's used just to vent. We all wish you'd go to the driving range or do pottery or something.
We’re still looking in our Bibles for the passage that says, “If your brother sins against you, go and ruthlessly attempt to destroy his reputation.” You all obviously found it; please let us know where it is.
We had intended from the beginning to take Roy’s situation as far as it could possibly go until someone figured it out. We never thought it would’ve gone this far, though we had hoped it would culminate in Roy being assassinated by CJ himself. And there were times we were convinced you would believe it! It went on a lot longer and to greater lengths than we had ever imagined. This is a testament to your believing the worst in SGM.
Let every tear you shed for Roy be punishment for your shameful acts: an entire group of Christians devoting hours, days, and weeks of their lives to slandering, and defaming other Christians because of their perceived wrongs.
Unfortunately, your site can serve no constructive purpose due to it’s one sided nature. The key to resolving an issue is having complete and accurate information. Your site is nothing more than the diatribe of bitter individuals hurt because their Church was adopted by SG or that you didn’t agree with a counseling decision. Or perhaps your pet doctrine isn’t emphasized like you think it should be, or you’re sick of hearing about the cross, and you just don’t like talking about your sin so much. Unlike you guys, we're bowing out, we said our peace and this blog will not be maintained. We wont read your comments and we wont ever come back to your site.You are not interested in dialoging so we won't even try. If only one person uses the shock they feel about "Roy's" lack of existence to re evaluate just how far they will believe in SGM's evil, we'll be so grateful. We trust God will use this to cause change in those who read it
(Oh and as much as we like reading Anti SGM Satirist's stuff we are different entities. We both happened to run our Proxy Switchers through the same access point close to a SG church, Hey Anti- thanks for stealing our thunder. :) )
